Worry broke through Siy's stoic gaze. He explained to Danny that she must have been exhausted, that the journey up had not been easy for her and her lightheadedness nearly sent her over the mountain's ledge. He looked down at her and frowned deeply in contrast to the small, pale smile on her face. Colleen turned to Danny, clearly struggling to steady her fast breathing. "Long day," she chuckled weakly, realizing too late that she probably shouldn't waste her breath like that. "Winded, but otherwise daijōbu. To walk to the ships, anyway. I insist." Reluctantly, Siy set Colleen on her feet at her firm request, large hands still hovering at her waist. As he anticipated, Colleen's body gave out, and he helped her into Danny's arms before she fell to her knees. Siy met Danny's gaze, unsure what to further make of her state.
"This is a little embarrassing," she murmured, her voice tapered off as the need for more oxygen took over. Beads of cold sweat formed at her neck; it felt nice, but wasn't quite enough to soothe the prickling heat of vertigo rolling through her body. "I'm just tired," she promised, reassurance more for Danny and their friend, than for her.
