In the great hangar full of stolen ships, the final phase of the escape was already well under way. Pilot and prisoners were grouped off, led into ships, and now the sky above the city were dotted with ascending ships, headed for the Sphere and other galactic outposts where they could make their way home. Danny wasn't going anywhere, not yet, not without Colleen and the assurance that their first and best ally Siy would also be on one of those ships.
Of course he knew she could take care of herself, but as time dragged on, he was getting a little more anxious. He'd posted himself at the hangar doors to wave in stragglers, take out any guards who still had fight enough in them to try an attack on the hangar, and to watch for Colleen. Eventually he saw a large figure, carrying something, making its way up the wreckage of the path what had been blasted in Danny's earlier explosion. He squinted and, when he realized the figure was Siy and that the burden in his arms was Colleen, he felt his blood go cold and his stomach plummet. Rushing out to meet them, he stared frantically from Siy to Colleen, "What happened?"
