Danny helped to herd people out of the arena and the palace where the citizens of the planet very wisely began running through the streets to hide in their homes. The city was built into a mountain, in levels from the palace at the top, to the prison at the bottom. The hangar bays were, if their intel was correct, on one of the lower levels on the opposite side of the huge mountain from the prison. It was here that the fighters were trying to head, going downwards as they fought guards while, far below, prisoners fought their way up a few levels and around.
Not all the fighters, particularly the more bloodthirsty ones, were as willing to forgive the civilians and were launching attacks not on guards but on terrified locals thronging the streets trying to reach safety. Relishing in their violence, they terrorized the spectators who had treated them as animals fighting in a cage. Danny's better instincts won out, and he halted his push forward to take out the ruthless champions turned tormentors. They might have been able-bodied fighters, but they certainly weren't helping with the escape; maybe they'd get it together when they regained consciousness. With frantic gestures he tried to usher civilians into their homes, but few seemed willing to acquiesce to a lowly captive- even one who'd saved their lives. Giving up on that, Danny returned to the fight towards the hangars as guards continued to rush them from security posts around the city.
