Danny was impressed as ever at Misty's unique drunken abilities (this was not the first time he'd seen the bra trick, though her doing it while holding wine was quite the feat), but this wasn't the best time for them to be on display. "Ummmm-" he said again and shook his head, reflexively catching her bra when she tossed it. Danny walked backwards in front of her, blocking her path further into the foyer and, incidentally, keeping her from the view of the people sitting in his living room just around the hall corner. There were two strangers there, one in a business suit and another in military uniform. Danny's (and the H4H's former) lawyer Jeryn was there as well, and Jeryn's elderly mother who'd been saved by the Heroes for Hire countless times, cooked many a meal for Danny and the girls over the years, and sent Misty and Colleen Christmas cookies every year. If Misty got any further it would be like embarrassing themselves in front of their grandmother.
"Misty, I- we can't," he told her, regretful but firm. "I'm sorry."
