Essex cleared his throat and shot a narrow eyed glare to Remy. When he turned to Betheny, he smiled and wrapped an arm around her waist as he held the book and began slowly turning the pages. His voice was warm and to all appearances he was quite enjoying himself.
"I do not like them in a box I do not like them with a fox I do not like green eggs and ham I do not like them..."
"SAM-I-AM!" Betheny finished, clapping and laughing. Feet kicking the botto of the book. Sinister growled at the jossling and his grip on her waist shifted just slightly as he moved the book from the reach of her feet.
"Yes, yes. Mr. Remy can read the rest to you," He murmured and set the book to the side. "Father is a busy man, my dear. He has to work."
"NO!" For a child that couldn't speak normally, she was certainly a loud one. The tiny hands balled into fists and she climbed over Sinister's lap to grab the book and shove it against his chest, "I want Father to read!"
