If threats wouldn't work, then perhaps appealing to his son's irritating conscience might. The future of all mutants is at stake and you'll let your petty pride, your stupid qualms, put us all in more danger." A little over dramatic, perhaps, but Magnus fully believed in the truth of what he said. It was only a matter of time, with the programming for sentinels out in the world, before mutants would be under siege. Failing his gambit with Pietro, Magnus really would launch an attack on the school. At least it was summer vacation.
