After the peaceful drive, Jasper was starting to feel somewhat affectionate of the animal. They had never spent much time together, outside of feeding time, because Jasper wasn't interested in becoming attached to his food, but now he had the goat in the backseat like a particularly energetic sibling to twist around and keep occupied while Fury tried to drive. Not that he wanted to keep it any longer, it was a pain in the neck and Jasper hadn't moved to the city to raise a farm, but he really did hope it had a good, long life ahead of it.
"Ah, well..." he started to answer as the goat tried to drag him toward the narrow patch of resilient grass pushing up through the stones between the buildings. That was another bad choice, he realized now, and wasn't eager to admit to Fury, "We had a very pleasant e-mail exchange." Jasper dug his heels in, hauling the goat away from the grass and up the steps to give a stuttered knock, then ring the bell in a short burst before quickly snatching the belt with both hands again. "They seem to know quite a bit about raising goats, so..."
