Captain Rogers might have still be laid up, but Jasper had got off easy; a side effect, he expected, of looking better than he had in over a year. He had been released some time ago with the promise to 'take it easy', and check in in a few days to see about that sling on his arm and a few stitches, but otherwise he came strolling back into the hospital after enjoying some fresh air and plenty of time in the sun, however chilly the wind, on his own two legs and in his own clothes. Which he knew were a welcome change, but the best he could bring for Captain Rogers was a knitted sweater, sure he had a few pounds on Jasper and limiting the selection in his closet.
"Sir?" he greeted cautiously as he stepped up to his door, giving a gentle knock to the frame with his good hand before coming any further into the room. "You look better," he smiled, fang-free and bright, blue eyed, despite the little, white lie as he set the bag at Cap's feet. Captain Rogers looked rather miserable, truthfully, but not any less healthy for it; nothing a little air circulation couldn't fix. Jasper pushed the window open before coming back to the bedside and planting his hand on his hip, still clearly reveling in that simple pleasure.
