Well when Jess put it like that it didn't sound so appealing and Wanda was already rethinking the suggestion and considering the alternative of going to bed early until Jessica said 'heels'. Just when she thought she was out, Wanda was pulled back in. "That's true. I keep buying shoes with nowhere to wear them. In that case-" she reached for a few of the candles and carried them to their shared bathroom so they could have some light to get ready by.
They took turns for the shower, scoured their closets, and spent an inordinate amount of time in front of the bathroom mirror putting on their makeup. Two hours later (there had been a lot of distractions between chatting, showing each other outfits, and a cake break), the power was still off and they were ready to leave. Although Wanda knew 'people' weren't really Jessica's things, she appreciated her friend's willingness to go out with her and told her so as they took the elevator down to the lobby. Charlie, apologetic, called them a cab and the girl's stepped out onto the sidewalk into a chilly night.
"I have no idea where to go," Wanda admitted and wished that she'd thought to put a coat on.
