When we take revenge against another
Characters: Pepper Potts, Kingpin
Setting: Kingpin's hideout, NYC
Content: PG
Summary: Pepper starts tracking down those responsible
This was not the way she thought she would have dealt with this. She never thought she'd have to deal with this. And no question, she knew this was probably the least responsible or sane reaction she could be having, but it was the only one she could focus on right now. She'd tracked the stolen tech, step one in catching up with Electro, she'd hoped, but once she'd located it she'd reached a cross roads. She should have handed the information over to the police, or to the Avengers. That's what she would have told anyone else to do. But now that she had it all she wanted was to impart some semblance of justice herself.
She wasn't sure how she'd wound up back in Tony's workshop. They weren't even past her last betrayal of trust, and her she was reconfiguring the suits he'd been forced to build under duress for her own purposes. She'd make it up to him. Somehow.
What'd she'd managed to cobble together looked more impressive than she felt. The suits hadn't been designed for her, and was ill fitting, and made for clumsy maneuvering while she practiced in the lab with only JARVIS for assistance. They didn't have all the capabilities that Iron Man had at his disposal, but the over all effect seemed intimidating enough, and that was what she was going for.
It was only was she got there she realized that her taste for violence was rather lacking compared to the men she came up against. Her less than graceful take down was accomplished without loss of life however, and she destroyed the stolen tech. There was no telling what kind of tampering they'd done in the time they'd held it, and she wasn't bringing that back to the campus.
It was painfully evident now, as she scanned the dim room, that none of these people were the man who had hurt Happy. She crouched in front of the Kingpin, faceplate unchanged, but fist glowing in warning.
"I need some information."
