A sardonic grin betrayed her. And then Jessica slapped him. Hard. "You've got a lot of nerve," she growled before she turned on her heels and left him at the door, only once shooting him an impatient glare over her shoulder. Asshole. Jessica grabbed a sweater off the coat stand and pulled it over her form on her way into the living room. If there were any pants around, she might've thought to put those on too. But then, it was just Nick, and Jessica was quite content living a pantless lifestyle. She stopped in the middle of the room and stood with her arms crossed. It was a while before Jessica looked up at him again, frowning.
"So?" As hesitant as she felt about it, she knew this talk needed to happen. Too much had gone on for it not to, a lot of things she felt guilty about, things she wished she could take back. And with Nick standing there before her, Jessica was reminded of that. All the emotions building up in her chest was effectively hidden by her defense. For now, anyway.
