Despite the frigid hallway, Tony had been slipping out of his jacket, folding it over his arm by the time the door handle turned. As soon as he caught the movement, he straightened, all trace of his anxious fidgeting gone and replaced by an unselfconsciously bright grin. He didn't expect her appearance to make it an honest one, making him bow his head for a moment while he controlled it. So, her looking bewildered for barely a second felt pretty good. Just a little better than finding her still in one piece, and not quite as good as finding she hadn't developed an overwhelming sense of modesty since the ordeal.
"I don't really have that authority, but I can put in a nasty word, if that's what you want," he replied. He hesitated a beat longer in the hallway, not letting himself take his eyes off of her to seek out her sai until he had lasted the breath to stroll casually into the room. If it was a conscious decision to sit as far away from the weapons as possible once he did spot them, he didn't show it. His jacket was draped across the back of the chair and he crossed his legs with his hands folded over his stomach, glancing around the room with obviously false appreciation.
