characters: Wanda and Jess setting: Around NYC, Saturday Noon content: Nothing questionable summary: The girls go apartment shopping!
The decision to live with Wanda, as much as Jessica probably wouldn't admit it, was a good one. She could've been only god knows where by now, spiraling back down into that dark place she didn't want to revisit. Coping was a little easier with Wanda at her side; even now, as they listened to the realtor and followed her around the apartment space, she didn't feel as anxious as she could've about the woman's perception of the two ex-terrorists (one who'd, until recently, been a runaway fugitive, the other, HYDRA's puppet), nor was she overtly suspicious of her. Jessica had a ways to go before she felt okay with herself, let alone other people, but Wanda made her glad that she didn't isolate herself from the world. She wasn't sure she would've been able to come back from that the second time around. It also helped that all the chaos that had gone on in the recent weeks was finally settling.
After the tour, the realtor lead them back into the living area and excused herself while they talked amongst themselves. Hands in her pockets, Jess gave the space another quick, but thoughtful glance before turning back to look at her friend. "Roomy." She smiled. "I like it. It's got a bit of that classic look, doesn't it?"
