Even at this distance, Iron Man was knocked off course, fumbling in the air as his back bowed in at the shove of hot air and he pushed back against it to survey the source. He hovered there, frozen and speechless for a beat at how quickly this had fallen apart, eyes wide and following the gentle fall of Ares' and Alex's lives returning to the ground, until Thor's voice, weak but definitely alive, let his heart start beating again. "What the hell was that?" he asked, acknowledging now the solidifying stream of Ares' neighbours fleeing from ground zero, their cars instantly jamming the roads but still shoving against each other and knocking innocent bodies over. If Ares apparently had grenades at the ready, Iron Man didn't want to wait and see if this was the worst he could do; he turned away from the wreckage before he had his answer, jetting blindly in the direction US Agent had reported again and demanding, "Tell me where this kid is, we have to get him back here before this guy levels the whole block!"
