"Here," Thor breathed, frowning at the chirping in his ear as Coulson confirmed help was on the way while obviously fighting with Hammer for control of the comm lines.
"WHAT PART OF COVERT- about five minutes out-"
Five minutes wasn't going to be soon enough.
A hanging lightbulb hit Thor's head as he righted himself, using a cool, cylindrical tube as a prop to pull himself up. It was difficult to see in the dim light filtering through from above, but there were several brightly coloured stickers affixed to the device, and one of them seemed to say...warning?
"Big mistake," Ares muttered, shooting straight through the gas heater Thor so carelessly rested against. The explosion ripped through the house, gas tank rocketing skyward and lighting up the block.
"...Your armies may be useful," Thor croaked from under the rubble of the house.
