Who: Maria & Open Where: SHIELD Headquarters | tea room When: Lunch time Rating: TBD Status: Incomplete
Maria had been going through the massive pile of paperwork on her desk - she didn't mind doing it, she didn't mind the dull work that came with her job but this seemed to never get any smaller especially with Jammer in charge. It was at times like this that she missed Fury - Jammer just wasn't the leader that he was, in fact he was a horrible leader and she couldn't wait for the day that he was no longer Director of SHIELD. Logically she knew she was the next candidate to take over given her current position but if she didn't she just hoped that they got someone decent in charge. Someone who didn't completely stuff up - at the moment it felt like she was running it in all but name on top of her usual duties too which meant she was a lot busier than she used to be. Maria didn't mind though, she was the type of person who did her best when she was busy and if she didn't have a lot to do her mind travelled to a lot of places where she preferred that they didn't - mostly to her childhood and how she could have done things differently. That and missions that had gone wrong - she preferred to focus on the now instead of the then.
Glancing at the clock she realized that lunch had come and passed a good time ago which wasn't surprising. She never had been one to take good care of herself, her work getting the better of her more often than not. Realizing she was actually fairly hungry, she put aside the report she was currently reading and made her way to the tea room to grab the sandwich she brought that morning and a cup of coffee.
