"Did I wake you?" she asked, but a glance was enough to tell her that she hadn't, so she launched into her problems (well, Kate had asked), and started pacing back and forth across the room. "So I kind of accepted a job offer tonight to work for-" she paused to think about it. Misty hadn't actually answered that particular question. "Bounty hunters." That was the best way she could think to describe it, even if she still wasn't totally sure what they did. Her only experience with them hadn't really started out too well. Cassie hadn't shared her late night encounter (assault? pseudo-kidnapping?) with these people with Kate because she thought her friend might flip out and go all overprotective.
"Which, I dunno, they seem like good people and all and it would be getting to do what I love legally and get paid for it, but I don't know if it's going to be less than at 'Starkbucks' and then there's school and my plans for the NYPD. It's just... a lot to consider?" She finally stopped and glanced over at Kate, unsure of what she was even looking for here. Validation, maybe, or just someone to help her sort out the pros and cons.
