Eyebrows raised, Kurt shrugged and matched her tone, her proximity not lost on him. "Oh, just, you know. Things will be lonely around here without you." As if he hadn't, up to five days ago, been avoiding her completely. He grinned, inched closer to her himself. "But if you're not chained to the house, maybe we can go out somewhere sometime. Dinner? Or a movie? With the students mostly gone we're not chained here, either." Kurt was pleased with himself. That was almost smooth, asking her out without making it weird. He probably did owe her at least a dinner, they'd sort of already jumped ahead in the normal order of things (if there really was a normal order to these things).
