If Kitty had known that Calvin was returning, she definitely would've made the place much more welcoming, probably made the kids who were in such a hurry to leave stick around for just a moment longer. But surprises were nice, and she had definitely been surprised when she saw him there in the hall. "Calvin Rankin," she called, hands on her hips as she fixed him with a narrowed-eyed stare that she was sure he didn't miss, before breaking out in a full grin and walking over with a little bounce in her step to greet him.
"Why didn't you tell me you were coming back, jerk?" Kitty teased as she hugged him. Chuckling, she pulled back and got a good look at him. It seemed the place did him some good, but she wouldn't really know until they talked. She wondered if he ever received those care packages she'd sent. "I'm glad you're back," she said honestly. "I have to admit, this place isn't quite the same without you."
