"There are better candidates," she remarked dryly. Just the thought of reaching out now was something to frown about. Jessica's absence was more than enough time for anyone's feelings to fester and if Wanda's hadn't yet, they would. Surely there would be confrontation. Wanda needed a friend she could trust. "I'll get in touch," she said coolly after some begrudging consideration, of course Tony would fucking be the one. The corner of her mouth turned up slightly as she looked away and swept her hair away from her face as she sighed. Tony was her best bet at getting a hold of her, she just hoped he didn't expect her to do so right at that moment.
"I'd ask you how you were doing," Jessica segued, nudging him in the jaw with her fist, "if I thought you'd give me a straight fucking answer." She might've even tried seducing it out of him, but something told her he'd still manage to dodge the question. Not that she really blamed him, it wasn't like she was particularly fond of it herself. The fact that he was now on a fucked up team probably said enough.
