Both Tonys froze on command, Iron Man dropping out of the air to crouch cautiously, head tilted up to watch his double in the bubble with rapid, anxious glances Pepper's way. The other had less of a choice in the matter, already settling in the bottom of his prison after being stopped short by its wall and sliding into its depth, pressing the palms of his surely healing hands to the resistance and glaring right back at Pepper.
"Get out of here, Pep," Iron Man advised, slowly drawing himself up as Tony didn't show any impending signs of freeing himself, and waving Wanda down. So far, this lull was assuring Iron Man that nobody was going to end this day in the morgue, but he wasn't so sure they were all going to be where thy were supposed to. If they could manage to take the encounter back to Wanda's place, what then? Could they turn the temperamental engine back on? Would it reopen the extradimensional doorway that the other Tony had come through, or was that reality closed off to them now that Iron Man held the Gem--? "Please," he demanded of Pepper, lifting his hand with his palm up, where the metal slithered away from his skin. Tony pounded his fist against his prison, not appreciating this planning at his expense, and puffed a lick of fire to test its immunity.
