That wasn't supposed to happen. At first, Tony lifted his head to look toward the doors, sure that kind of interference had to come from inside the building. It took Pepper turning to have him follow her sight line out the window and his own eyes widened, unable to calculate what this development meant until Iron Man was blasting through the glass. It burst inwards and showered harmlessly across the carpet far to their left, but Tony still flinched and grabbed the arm of Pepper's chair to spin her back to the windows and the risk. Iron Man must not have liked what he saw on his impromptu vacation. Tony didn't blame him; he didn't particularly like what he found here, either.
"Get away from her," Iron Man demanded as he landed in a crouch amongst the shards of glass, grinding them into the carpet under his knee. He was keeping himself small, Tony noted, ready for a fight that he clearly had no proper reference for. That was perfect, Tony could end this quickly. He smirked and charged, staggeringly fast, crashing into the suit and sending them both sailing out of the open window.
