Jesus, this was a disaster. Wanda made an ineffectual move towards the fallen billboard but ended up dodging lasers instead. A whirring overhead heralded the arrival of the first S.H.I.E.L.D. helicopter. That was the girls' cue to leave. Wanda waved her fingertips in the direction of the fallen billboard and lifted it away from the people it had crushed. That was the best she could do at the moment and hopefully some of them survived. Wanda shielded herself, the laser beams fizzling against her magic energy, and jogged towards Jessica and the now emptied bus. Agents in dark riot gear were sliding down a line from a helicopter and, through the deafening whir of its blades, a voice sounded over a loudspeaker telling everyone on the street to halt.
Canisters were thrown from the helicopter to glide down in some pre-programmed arrangement where they hit pavement and then all lit up at once in a domed cage of crackling energy that encased the battle scarred street. Wanda felt her barrier struggling against it the power it was giving off, felt her powers trying to manifest despite it- what the hell was this? Something that she didn't want to run the risk of trying to teleport out of, especially when she was probably going to have to use a lot of power just to burst past through it. "Stay close to me," she instructed Jessica. "Run for it. We can try to blast the barrier and if it gives, I'll shield us through." With a plan of action, Wanda turned away and made for an alleyway blocked at its end by a patchwork of energy.
The pair rounded the hunk of an SUV while the last of A.I.M. was taken out by the agents behind them. They had to veer off course as several bullets flew between them and a voice demanding that the Scarlet Witch and Spider-Woman halt immediately. Whatever happened next would probably not be good for anyone involved.
