"Fine." Kitty drew back, hands up, but with a blatant roll of her eyes. She didn't understand why he wouldn't just show her, it was so stupidly clear at this point that he wasn't there about that stupid email. On top of that, he was obviously mad at her now for the stupid joke, and now she was starting to get defensive. Kitty didn't want to get defensive. She didn't want to fight, either, but they always seemed to end up in that direction, didn't they?
"I don't think you're jealous," she offered calmly, though he did kind of seem it. "For god's sake, Calvin, I was kidding, you don't have to look at me like that." Her awful joke aside, she did wonder, sometimes. She and Wicked had definitely talked about it, and more than one person had alluded to it, but then here he was offended at the mere thought of it. That weirdly bothered her, but clearly she shouldn't have said anything, joking or not. Her mistake.
"Don't be mad," Kitty sighed, staring up him with a lopsided smile. She wasn't all that worried about him making a scene, but it did get tiresome volleying shouts and frustration at times. "I just felt things getting weird, so then I got weird, and--" Chuckling, she averted her eyes and shrugged, and after a brief pause met his gaze again to confess, "I don't like when you're upset at me, okay? I like when you wanna tell me things and call me Kit-kat."
