Well, wasn’t Magneto especially sunny today. “Noted.” Namor rolled his eyes at the tyrant and continued trudging down the mountain path. It was bad enough trying to see much further than a few feet in this storm, but there was the inhospitable rocky terrain to contend with on top of it all. It made the going long and slow. A fact that probably annoyed the both of them. “What a dreadful place to rule a kingdom.” Namor mentioned after almost slipping on a especially frozen bit of rock. Fortunately both of them had their abilities to assist them from any real danger in falling off the mountain. Which Namor might have been more grateful for if he didn’t feel as though he was freezing to death. Eventually though they made it to the bottom of the mountain and gazed at last at the ruined city gates. “Ah. Here we are. Latveria.. Let’s just see how this wretched place has held together.”
The answer to that was not very well. The once shining star of Doom’s empire looked as though an atom bomb had struck it. Buildings stood demolished. Rubble was strung about here and there. Occasionally they would even see the skeletal remains of some poor fool caught in the middle of it all. “Interesting.” Announced Namor as he began scanning the area with the gadget Magnus had provided. After a moment of studying the city, he handed his findings to Magneto. “Something ripped a hole in reality here. The only question I have now is who or what?” He didn’t ask why. That would probably present itself shortly.
