Justine still wasn't adjusting well to living full time with her father, but he'd finally gotten her to fall asleep after hours of bargaining and pleading. He shuffled out of her bedroom and into the living room, rubbling at tired eyes and scarcely noticing his guest until he'd done a double take.
He blinked, looking back towards the door and then back to the couch. "...I really need to invest in a better security system. Ah...hullo there. Again." He rolled his sleeves back down and combed his fingers through his hair, "I was just- you know, if you call next time, I can be prepared for you."
