Completely at a loss for what he did to deserve that, Tony's mouth twisted to the side and brow furrowed with a renewed frustration with Wanda, teamwork, and being stuck in small spaces with sentient beings. Being off of this team was spoiling him more than he realized, and it was nice to have the reminder so he didn't start getting nostalgic any time soon. Fine, she didn't want to answer, he didn't want to explain the point he was trying to make. If he wasn't committing himself body, mind and bank account to her needs, he just wasn't doing his job.
Who was he kidding? He couldn't stop what came out of his mouth if he tried. "I'm trying to tell you something, Wanda," he strained out helpfully, since she evidently wasn't equipped to form any viable conclusions of her own. Not caring if she would look at him, because he knew she could hear him, he continued, "And it's not that it should all be a party, because it's bigger than that and your first job is to keep people safe. But you gotta know that if what you're doing doesn't at least get you a little wet, you're in the wrong business." Maybe she didn't care to hear it and wanted to figure that out on her own the hard way, but this whole jumping head first into wormholes thing was entry-level for Tony and he liked to think he knew a little bit about the subject. "Whatever, I'm an asshole, what do I know?" he muttered, finally cocking his head to try to decipher exactly what had caught her eye.
That was the new information they were looking for. Tony pulled his helmet on, raw edges blending together to erase the seam along the jaw of the Iron Man while Tony watched the environmental scans on his HUD melt down over the magical energy. Well, it still looked like a great, big building they somehow missed while the sun was up and they had nothing better to do than notice.
