The calculations were unnecessary as the efficient shelter manifested itself in the form of a red dome of energy that enveloped them moments before the storm hit. Wanda had a hand raised, fingertips shimmering and a bemused expression on her face- knowledge was not all they were equipped with. Nice to know her powers still worked in other times or dimensions or wherever this was. Their bubble spread a few feet in every direction and within it the roar of the wind and sand pelting the shield was reduced to a low whistle and a dull barrage of thuds.
"Any thoughts on how long this'll go on?" she asked, trying to peer through the red haze of the dome but able to see nothing beyond the whipping sand. Wanda figured she'd be able to hold it for some time, but an estimate would be nice. She dropped her hand, though her fingers still glowed, and sat down cross legged with her back to the extemporized wall. It was warm and she could feel rather than hear a hum from it, familiar and comforting, the power of an energy that had been with her for her entire life. She folded her hands in her lap and looked up at Tony, expectant.
