Between the after effects of the tequila and Tony's nonchalant explanation (wormhole, nothing to worry about, all right) Wanda was very nearly convinced that everything was going to be okay. Until he froze and turned and she stared around the book, not quite grasping why he was looking at it like that. He seemed surprised that it had returned but wasn't that the point he was trying to make when he tossed it in to demonstrate what it could do (because if the book wasn't supposed to come back then that was rather inconsiderate of him- she was only halfway through that one).
Gingerly, in case there was indeed something wrong with it now, Wanda stooped and picked up the book, staring for a moment between its cover and the energy crackling within the frame of the portal. When Wanda's gaze settled on the book again she opened it and flipped rapidly through the pages. "Bookmark's gone," she eventually remarked even though it probably wasn't important. Lost in transit, maybe. She was pretty sure that it hadn't had that sticker on the cover before it went through though. The book was thrust at Tony then; she didn't want to hold the thing anymore.
