Underwater again? This was just getting embarrassing now. What the hell was Magneto trying to do? Teach him how to swim? There were better ways grandpa. Better ways. Well, needless to say, Cal had no idea what the hell happened. Something crazy powerful went on from over in Magneto’s corner and suddenly everything in the game changed. In the blink of an eye Mimic was down below the sea flailing around for his like. That unstable forcefield of his lasted all of thirty seconds underwater. Naturally, the sea’s water pressure was just too much even for it. As soon as thing went and popped Rankin knew he was in trouble. Not even Wolvie’s mimicked healing factor could save him from this little predicament.
As far as logic was concerned he about two options right now. The first thing he could do was reach out to the other X-Men via telepathy. He just managed telepathically yell out, “HELP. PlEASE.” The other option was something a bit more desperate. Calvin struggled staying awake as the water pounded his body into putty. With one last grunt of exertion he reached down and recalled iceman’s powers freezing everything around him in a wide radius. Naturally the ocean started to crush this ice formation completely so Cal had to act fast. With not a second to spare his eyebeams activated and he started freeing himself from the ice. He then took off flying upward with both palms stretched forward. In a straight line he started freezing the water in an arrow upwards while his optic beam fired simultaneously. This combination dug an icy path straight out of the water.
It didn’t take very long for him to submerge and when he did, oh god, was he ever angry again. Mimic came flying right at Magneto and with a flick of motion turned off the villain’s forcefield. Right before the pair of them made contact, Calvin popped a famous pair of bone claws out of his knuckles. He used these to stab the lord of Genosha right through the stomach. “I’m back.”
