Kurt turned to stare at her again, baffled, wondering why she would even tell him that. Was it supposed to make him feel better? It didn't. Somehow, knowing that she'd watched him but could never bring herself to approach him, made the whole thing feel worse. He forced a grim grin to his face and turned back to stare out at the night sky, trying to think what he should say. What she was trying to accomplish beyond hurting him. Maybe that was part of the point, Kurt wasn't sure.
"And I suppose you just didn't like what you saw?" he finally asked, trying to crack another joke but- unlike his earlier one- this one fell flat and tasted bitter on his tongue. He couldn't bring himself to ask why, he didn't want to know that. He didn't need this.
