It was difficult to see how any of that was supposed to help anyone, but distracting himself did seem like something Tony could get behind. If he didn't have them locked down in a prison, he would be in the garage by now tearing something apart to build it from the ground up; if he didn't have them locked down in a prison, he would have solved this whole fucking mess a long time ago and had the time to deal with bullshit like this. But that wasn't the case, and Tony didn't think he had the resources to set aside a minute for himself to not act like it was fine, just like Quicksilver shouldn't have been dedicating his fucking time to a lost cause. All he wanted Steve to do was tell him how a normal human being would react to any of this so he could do that and they could all move on. Instead, he had to push Steve off of him in frustration for getting in his face and leaving Tony more exhausted and mixed up than before. "Go find someone healthy, then," he advised, glad, at least, that Steve finally caught on and Tony could stop watching for crack. He really did want to go back to his cell now, thank you, if anyone would allow it.
