Tony's babbling put a vague smile on her face and yeah, she did want to talk about it, but she could be pretty short with it because all it really took was to tell him- yeah, it sucked- which was going to be enough for now. Admitting that it was terrible at all was enough for now. She didn't even get that out though because all other thoughts went right out of her head and she froze when he said "or Kate" and felt a well of tears rising up in her eyes again and she reached out and took his arm, her fingers digging in harder to his skin than she meant to.
"Kate? Did you say Kate? Like, my Kate? She's alive and- and stuff?" she didn't even want to consider the "and stuff" that would've been worse than the not being alive but if Tony was offering to bring Kate out then chances were she wasn't a zombie that was going to gnaw Cassie's face off. Chances were she'd somehow hooked up with the Avengers and was alive and safe and Cassie squeezed her eyes tightly shut until the crying moment passed and then turned a hopeful look on Tony, waiting for the confirmation.
