It was never easy, but Noriko already knew that, and didn't know how much more intolerable 'easy' was. By Noriko's age, Li Hua had only known easy and hated every second of it. She leaned back to meet Noriko's eye for a smile as she pushed the girl's hair back, then to sit up to braid the mop out of her face and out of trouble. "How many times have you thought you were going to lose?" she asked pointedly, because they were still here. How could Noriko even be so scared of losing when she only ever won? "And before you had me, for when there is too many," Li Hua added with a nod of finality. There would be no losing. This battle was nothing to worry about, as was the one that would come after, and the next. She had been presented with greater challenges in her own city and had no fear of what might happen on this Earth. "If you don't believe you have the strength, you train more, not give up. I'll show you, you are stronger than these Avengers combined," she said. Unlike them, Li Hua wasn't going to ask Noriko to cower behind her; Noriko was better than that.
