Clint's smile was returned as she nodded. "I do, absolutely," she told him, resolute. She'd stuck to her guns with Cap and there was no reason to start backpedaling now. It was over, they couldn't change it, so she would own up to it and move on. That had been the whole point of trying to apologize in the first place. Still, her opinions about it all perhaps weren't as caustic as Clint's were.
"I'd rather not be bitter about it, though," she said, her smile becoming uncertain because she didn't know how he would respond. "What's done is done. I think they would have done something, we just got there first. Trying to argue about it or hold a grudge isn't going to make things any easier for any of us and now, especially in this place, we need solidarity more than ever." Which meant she was going to have to make another attempt to make things right with Tony eventually, prove herself to Steve, touch base with Jan and try and reconnect with Jessica. At least she and Clint were still getting along, which was kind of surprising given their history, but Wanda had decided before they ever left L.A. to let all that go. He might have been brash, a little misguided, but she'd come to realize he usually meant well and he'd proven himself reliable. It was nice to know someone had her back, even if that someone was Clint Barton.
