From Tony that was all incredibly hypocritical and if she wasn't trying to make amends here she would have called him out on it. Like Tony Stark was the paradigm of a model super hero, never once doing anything selfish or hurting the people he cared about, oh no. How many times had he messed up and then asked for a clean slate? And been given it. More times than she could count. She was sick of his judgement and what he got for his efforts was a withering look but at least she held her tongue. She was trying to clear the air here so throwing his own shortcomings back in his face wasn't actually going to solve anything. She sucked in a breath and turned her focus to Steve, who was actually trying to talk to her instead of making bitter accusations.
"Act being the operative word, here, Steve. We needed to be a team, maybe, not act like one and, let's face it. We haven't been a team in a long time and this-" she gestured her hand vaguely. "This could be the end of the world. I think it is, honestly. And what I needed was my brother. That was my priority. Not the Avengers. I admit that."
