Wanda crossed her arms, not so much defensive as unsure because, like Steve, she wasn't sure to start. Everything she'd rehearsed in her head seemed to fly right out the second she was actually here, in front of them. The best way to start was, probably, with the apology she owed them. "I'm sorry," she said first and her smile finally disappeared which was likely a huge relief for all of them. She didn't have to awkwardly pretend this would be a pleasant experience.
"I know that I was wrong and-" well, she didn't actually regret it, so she couldn't say that in good conscience and she was fairly sure what they thought she was wrong for wasn't what Wanda thought she was wrong for, so perhaps it was best to be diplomatic about it. "I know you don't want to hear the reasons. But I can't keep carrying on like this, knowing that two of the only people in the world who've ever actually cared about me hate me right now, so say what you need to say and let's just try to start over. Please?" There, that hadn't been so hard and now the ball was in their court. She was trying to be reasonable and if they could get talk through this and they still wanted to be angry then that was fine. At least she'd made an effort and she could live with that, for as long as there was left to live, anyhow.
