It was reflex, the moment Steve just seemed to appear in front of her, Wanda jerked back and put up a force field because she just hadn't been expecting it. The force field was, apparently, unnecessary since where Cap had been moments before she now saw Clint's back and she hardly had time to even process what Steve had said before Clint was snapping at him. She didn't want to be spoken for by either of them and wanted to protest but even in her cold rebellious state of mind she knew when to quit. To bide her time and do what no one else seemed willing to do for Pietro. Distantly, she was even touched at how protective Clint had become after their time on the road together. Under other circumstances she might have thanked him for taking this stand but tensions were so high at the moment that this was not the time for it, not like this. She looped an arm around one of Clint's trying to tug him back, away from Steve.
"Clint, stop," she said flatly, looking around at Steve with the same loathing she'd reserved for Tony moments before now that Steve had, likewise, made the wrong decision about her brother. Told her what she had to do and who was he- who were any of them- to decide how they spent their last days and moments in the hellhole that New York had become?
