As soon as Cap touched down in front of Wanda, Clint began to see nothing but red. This wasn't happening. These fools were yelling at the one person they should be comforting here! No, fuck this. He hadn't served with Wanda for most of a year on the WCA for nothing. They hadn't fought off countless hordes of zombies for nothing! He watched Steve yell at his team mate right then and something snapped inside. Steve was going to far. The clown got right in her face and Clint moved without thinking. Hawkeye stepped between the two of them and then shoved the man back with everything he had. He may have been Captain America, but right then he sure wasn't acting like any leader Clint knew. "No. You need to back off."
Maybe it was the guilt of Pietro that drove him. But it could have been half a dozen other things. There was a lot stress going on with all of them and shoving Cap seemed a decent enough reason to work some of it off. Besides, it was time Rogers learned his place. She was part of his team still and he did not have the right to get in her face just yet. "Wanda is suffering here on a level here none of us but Wicked can understand. You don't have the right. I'm not going to let you push a hot poker into it. Not this time. Not with my team. We'll help with the civilians, but we don't need you yelling in the mean time.. Captain."
