Kitty knew she was taking a huge risk here; it was all in her eyes that she did. She also knew that if this blew up in her face, she had no one to blame but herself. Maybe SHIELD wouldn't be very happy with her, but that wasn't a road she imagined she'd have to cross any time soon, though when she did, well, she would deal with it. Until then, Kitty stood there, trying to read Calvin and not really getting anything beyond confusion and shock. It was when he actually backed away from the door that she had any idea at all, and she felt a little less on edge, but she didn't think she could breathe just yet, Calvin had been pretty pissed at her just a few moments ago.
At the joke, she blinked bemusedly before taking that breath she needed and rolling her eyes when she finally got it. Somehow Calvin managed to get a real smile out of her, even if Kitty tried to cover it up, and she eventually sat down on her bed beside him with her hands in her lap. She fidgeted with her necklace and nodded silently, staring at her feet. Kitty could appreciate that. Lifting her gaze, she chuckled and shrugged her shoulders, scratching her head as she said, "I've been an overreacting jerk. I would've yelled at me too." And in case Calvin didn't see the sincerity, a hot blush worked its way onto her cheeks and she lowered her head, genuinely embarrassed. Kitty hated being in the wrong, but she could admit it when she was.
