"I'm not going to pretend that I didn't have Kurt in mind when I took it off of you," Kitty admitted. "But I didn't wanted to see you hurt, either. What the hell, Calvin! What kind of person--" Kitty snapped her mouth shut, glaring hard with incredulity. She didn't have to like the guy, but it didn't mean that she would have liked to see him dead! Whether he cared to realize it or not, she was not that kind of person, nor were the X-Men those kind of people. Kitty shook her head, cheeks flushed with growing frustration.
At the accusation, Kitty scoffed, and smacked away the finger pointed at her, and she stood up to him furiously, fists pulsating. "THAT WASN'T OUR CALL!" Kitty burst. Her heart was pounding. "It didn't matter how we felt about it, that was SHIELD's decision and we had to abide by it! Don't you dare put that on us! We didn't tell you to screw up and be a damned TERRORIST!" Kitty's lips compressed, like she might've felt bad for taking it that far. But this was what he wanted and it was a long time coming.
"And if Genosha is so great, then go! Go back to your Brotherhood who, if they gave a crap about you, would've come to your rescue a long time ago. Because, you know what? Apparently we're not good enough for you and I'm sick of it." The X-Men weren't perfect, she never claimed that, but she wasn't going to sit back and let Calvin continue to throw digs at them, either. "I mean it!" She pointed at the door. "If Genosha is where you want to be, then leave. I won't stop you."
With an arm resting against her abdomen, Kitty watched him, frowning deeply, as she rubbed her fingers across her lips. "I have bigger problems here, Calvin."
