Obviously, he just needs some tough love.
This was too easy. Not the zombie part, that part still sucked, and the fact that Loki was here at all also blew, but that little squeal out of him couldn't be savoured as Tony always dreamed it would be. It was just...too good. Something had to be wrong. He was doing the wrong thing. Cap would have known what to do. Amongst the more obvious possibilities, Tony felt Cap might not have continued to lead the horde toward the pair of unarmored girls, quick getaway or no. Without warning, Iron Man stopped short to hover upright and give Loki a bounce up onto his shoulder, fireman style, before shooting back toward the forest, skimming low over those snapping jaws to get their attention.
"Let me think," he replied conversationally, if a little breathless. The snap of the branches bounced ineffectually off of Iron Man's helmet, sending a shower of dry leaves onto the slow zombies in pursuit and likely gave Loki a proper lashing. Okay, maybe that was why Tony came in here, but no one was going to argue with him about it. They broke through the tops of the trees, rocketing up into thinner air before swooping around to follow the truck, now a dust cloud in the distance. All the while, Iron Man mused, "Nope, nothing coming to mind. You might want to try it, though. The strangest things can get a girl wet."
Down on the truck's windshield, the map shifted, drawing a path up the road they fled along then veering straight off of it, into rough terrain and toward a highlighted point in the middle of nowhere. Just in case they forgot, the tiny 'fasten seatbelts' light blinked a few times on the dash for Kate and Wicked's convenience. It was time to check the damage Tony had already taken glee in punishing Loki for.
