A road trip through a zombie apocalypse wasn't how Kate planned to celebrate what would have technically been the start of her summer vacation, but she'd take it. There wasn't much to look forward to these days, and it meant getting out of New York, at least. And who knew, getting away might clear her head--there was nothing good in there lately, just her sister and a lot of creeping pessimism that she didn't particularly want to entertain. Kate was spreading her hope pretty damn thin, but that was okay, just as long as it was still there. Things would begin to look up again, eventually. Right? Maybe they really were doomed.
Kate was sitting at the table, trying to think of any last minute important things and coming up with nothing. Her bow was good as new after some much needed repair, so there was no need to worry there. She snagged a few extras arrows from Clint's equipment corner while she was at it--she'd thank him later or something. For the most part though, Kate was set. Finishing off her drink, Kate stood up and moved to the kitchen to toss it, and then came back out into the main room. Lips pinched together, she leaned against a wall and stood there quietly, watching, waiting patiently around until it was time to go.
