The marble floor hit harder than Mystique did, but even as Tony's back arched from the dewy tile and his entire skeleton vibrated from the impact, he managed a pained grin. All right, now he was ready. He might not have been as fast as her, but he was determined and had one thing on his side: she wasn't here to run away from him. Eventually, if he tried hard enough, he could grab something (her leg, right around the knee) to dig his nails in and drag her down and him up. At least, up enough to snatch her by the belt loop and heave her over as he rolled back to experience the marble's impact as thoroughly as he did.
