Kate's reaction was a rare delight and Tony mirrored it subtly, not quite teasing with an earnest grin in return. He hadn't expected that to be so easy; something more like, 'That's dangerous, what are you talking about?' or 'Shouldn't we be staying together?'. Right, that was Cap, this was Kate. Tony had to stop trying to figure her out because it wasn't working for him.
"I was..." he admitted, eyes narrowed as he considered this new complication. He wasn't really built for passengers. He presented it to Kate as, "Hard to fuel up a jet in this economy," with a shrug, who knew? "But how are you supposed to experience the landscape like that anyway?" he suggested, hands out for her input. He'd never done the Great American Road Trip thing, he had no reason to; either he was too rich or too broke to pull it off. Tony was more familiar with alien spacecraft than an RV. That was a shame.
