The windsheer up here, some last assault of winter from the river, was deafening and there was a constant warning at the edge of Tony's vision as the Iron Man tried and failed to filter it out. Luckily, he had no answers to Noriko's questions, only nerve wracking guesses he could keep to himself. Like, he was pretty sure whatever it was used to be outside, but it was definitely, brutally, efficiently inside now. He stood with Noriko on the roof's edge, one arm still around her as he searched the street below, beginning already to swarm like the asphalt itself was alive. "Two more minutes," he promised, holding up two fingers in case she didn't hear him while looking around for the roof access. Where was this guy? Shouldn't he have made it out by now?
There was a sudden wave of clear silence as the Iron Man accommodated the wind noise for a fraction of a second, just long enough for Tony to hear one solid ban-- on the door before the filtration system gave a pained shriek and the wind changed direction on it. Wincing at the assault to his ears, he pointed Noriko at the door and jogged for it. It the comparative shelter of the doorway, the noise filter adjusted again and Tony heard the howl of that fucking beast-- felt it, more like, vibrating through his feet. Jesus. He warned Ben once with a responsive bang to the door before kicking it clear off of its hinges.
