"I won't," Kate promised. That wasn't going to be a problem. She watched Tony at his tasks just a moment longer before she stood. "I'd better go," she chuckled to herself, slipping her arms back into her blazer. She could go home and change out of these stupid clothes. After fixing herself up, she slung her bag back over her shoulder and pushed the table chair, pausing and glancing around for any last minute reasons to contribute to whatever he was doing.
"Thank you," Kate said eventually, after deciding that maybe it was just best if she didn't, "for the...for everything? For the toast." God, how eloquent. She wasn't even going to try and fix that, it couldn't possibly turn out any less clumsy, but she hoped Tony understood that she was appreciative for more than just the toast. "Okay, bye." She turned around and left abruptly before her emotions could officially get the best of her.
