That sounded alarming, without further context anyway, but Kate had enough sense not to let the offer immediately register the way it would have if she was at a lounge being bothered by some overconfident douche. She eyed him though, frowning, weighing out her other options--or option, at this point crying in her room for the rest of the day had some potential, but that wasn't productive at all and she'd have to deal with this regardless of if she agreed to go with him or not. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if she had the company, no way did she think she was the only one suffering here.
If she agreed, that meant she had to pull herself together; Tony didn’t seem like he knew how to deal with meltdowns at all and she didn’t even want to be standing there in front of him having one in the first place. She briefly looked off to the side while she dried the corner of her eyes and nodded. “Yeah, sure.” Once she was--for the most part--cool, Kate stepped up to the side of him, silent after that. She wanted to ask Tony if he thought Cassie would ever come back, but that was a painful question and it only made her sadder. She sighed, lightly bouncing her phone against her palm, lips pursed in reflection as she was hit with an afterthought. Eyes squinted, she turned her head to Tony.
