This can't end well..
It was always pretty tough trying to lead two separate lives. When of them one was being a normal high school kid and the other a certified super hero it made things especially hard. Here Peter was on Christmas break again and he was stuck this time pulling duty as an Avenger. Which wasn't so bad. It was normally pretty exhilarating actually. Today, though it was a different story. Simply put instead of punching bad guys in the face he was sipping punch. It was a seasonal Christmas party for the Avenger family and Peter was required to show up and make an appearance as the new guy. Neither Steve, nor Tony, nor even Jess had ever warned him about the sort of awkwardness this entailed.
About half the gang tonight was well on their way to getting drunk already. The other half looked worried and was probably concentrating on stoping any possible mischief the other camp might get into. It made for one hell of an awkward time and you can just guess which slice of the pie Spidey was in. Happy holidays!
So, there Peter was filling in as the typical friendly neighborhood Spider-Man when someone addressed him out of no where (And sharply too). He turned around quickly and noticed a girl glaring at him. She looked around his age and didn't seem to be anyone he recognized. At least not from Midtown High anyway. Maybe she was a West Coast Avenger? "Excuse me?" He offered sounding about as confused as he felt right then. "Did I, uh, do something?" Did he step on her toe earlier when the lights had dimmed?
