She grinned against his lips which was abruptly replaced by an indignant frown at the realization that she'd been robbed. "That wasn't very saintly of you, Nicholas," she mumbled, glancing at the candy cane longingly before closing in on his space to slip an arm across the small of his back and lean against him. Her eyes searched the tree for more of those striped candies available for her taking, but decided against it (though no one would notice if she took all the candy canes, that tree was so thick with decorations) and instead rounded her gaze back up to Nick and smiled warmly. "Merry Christmas," she returned eventually, reaching over in her sly attempt to get her candy cane back from him. "Are you going to stay long enough for dinner?"
